Dimapur, June 10: Niuland District bade farewell to outgoing DC, Ajit kumar Verma IAS, ADC Athrila S. Sangtam and SDO Civil Anoka H Assumi in the DC’s conference hall, Niuland on June 10.
During his six months stay as the first DC of Niuland, the DC acknowledged the role and support of the ADC and his staffs, and also stated that the role of PS to DC as very crucial and further considered Dobashis as ‘eye and ear of the administration’.
Mentioning that foundation for the upliftment of the district have already been laid down, he encouraged the public leaders of the district to have futuristic planning for the new district and for which both the outgoing DC and ADC particularly thanked Minister PHED Jacob Zhimomi.
Outgoing ADC Athrila S Sangtam thanked the administrative staffs and officers and was of the view that the newly district have the potential to be well developed within 5-10 years.
Various officers and public leaders attended the programme, said a DIPR report.
