Dimapur, February 2: NIIT Dimapur Center announced the awards for its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) on February 1, which went to Saraswati Ghale, 4th Semester student of Public College of Commerce.
A resident of Purana Bazaar, Dimapur, she aspires to be a businesswoman. She will start her learning for the DCA program from Thursday.
According to a press release issued here, there were 90 applicants for the Free Diploma in Computer Applications.
The occasion was graced by special invitees, Dr. Andrew Ahoto, Chairman, Livingstone Foundation International & Dr. Fr. C. P. Anto, Director, Peace Channel.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ahoto appreciated the Head of Center of NIIT Dimapur Center, Daniel Changkiri for his decade long association with the center. He also exhorted the applicants to aspire to be IT professionals in deed & not to worry if they cannot be the lucky winner of the course through lottery draw, rather they can avail various other schemes of NIIT.
Commending the center team for their dedicated services in building the careers of the youth of Nagaland, he appreciated the Managing Director of the Center, Ajay Sethi for the CSR activities being upheld regularly.
Exhorting the applicants to avail the opportunities being offered by NIIT Dimapur Center at regular intervals, Dr. Fr. Anto cited his long association with NIIT Dimapur & it’s MD Ajay Sethi as a fruitful association as a social edupreneur. Computer education is a necessity for today’s generation was his opinion. Wishing the applicants & NIIT Team good luck, he invoked the Lord’s presence as well for the better peace in the society & the state.
“Freshest Technology First” being the aim of NIIT, MD Ajay Sethi dwelled upon the fact of change being the only constant & the frequent upgradations of NIIT curriculums, faculties competence & technologies by the center, which has led it to teach computers to more than 30,000 youth of Nagaland in schools, colleges, corporates & the center, 3000 placements in the last 20 years, besides generating self-employment opportunities for many more.
The Center has been offering various scholarships at regular intervals, besides launching interest-free study loans with NIIT’s Partnership with Eduvanz for post graduate career programs.
