DIMAPUR, JULY 29: The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Sivasagar, Assam, has re-enforced night curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the 5 km belt of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland, with effect from July 1 for a period of 60 days.
The ADM, in an order, said night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent occurrence of anti-social elements/extremist/unlawful activities coming across the Assam/Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district. Movement of any person/group of persons/any vehicular traffics are prohibited during the period of night curfew.
However, Magistrates, security personnel of Army/CRPF/Police and civil officials deployed on duty are exempt from the purview of the prohibitory order. (Page News Service)
