
Dimapur, April 24: Night curfew has been imposed in Tuensang town from Friday in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases. The curfew will be imposed from 7 pm to 5 am on all days.
A delayed official release said DC & chairman, District Task Force for COVID-19, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS issued the order based on the decision taken during the DTF meeting held on April 22.
The DC’s order directed all shops, business establishments, restaurants, etc. to close by 7 pm. There shall be strict restriction of the assembly of 4 or more persons during the curfew hours.
However, medical emergency, pharmacies and essential services have been exempted during the curfew period. In addition, movement of essential goods through trucks, goods vehicles or any goods carriers including empty vehicles and movement of persons to facilitate the same have been exempted.
The order directed all colonies/wards to identify persons arriving from outside the State in their respective jurisdictions and report to the DTF. Returnees shall submit their personal information to the District Nodal Officer for COVID-19 (contact no: 8415840348). Returnees may also contact the control room number in case of any queries related to COVID-19 at 9612724367.
Persons arriving from outside the State shall remain in self isolation for 10 days, if no negative RT-PCR/ TrueNat/CBNAAT test report for COVID-19 (test done not earlier than 72 hours prior to entry into the state) is produced on arrival, or if the test result is awaited, or if the person concern hasn’t completed the COVID-19 vaccination.
The order directed the public to observe COVID appropriate behaviours such as maintaining social distancing, compulsory wearing of face mask, strict hygiene protocol, etc. and if eligible avail the COVID-19 vaccination. (Page News Service)
