NHRC member visits Juvenile Home Dimapur

Dimapur, October 21: Member of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Jyotika Kalra along with Jintu Saika, Insp. NHRC, visited Juvenile Home, Dimapur on Thursday and interacted with sfficials of the Department of Social Welfare, officers/staffs of Observation Home & Special Home, members of Juvenile Justice Board, members of Child Welfare Committee, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), and Child Welfare Police Officer (CWPO) Diphupar PS.
During the interaction, Kalra complimented the professional backgrounds of the personnel taking charge of the Observation & Special Home and JJB member, Dimapur, a press release stated.
On observation of the “poor and dangerous road conditions” leading to Special Home, Pherima, she assured the Department that she would communicate to the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Nagaland for necessary actions at the earliest.
