Dimapur, November 27: The NHFRCC has convened an emergency meeting on November 28 at its office in Dimapur at 10 a.m. and requested all respective tribal members to attend positively.
In a press release, the NHFRCC said that the meeting was necessitated due to the aggressive behavior shown by the agitating party from Assam site at Nakachari, Mariani sectors in the name of economic blockade, seizing public vehicles including women and children which needs to be resolved amicably.
The Committee further appealed to the State Government and Naga public not to be complacent and sleep over on the Naga Survival Road (The foot hills road) and urged upon all stakeholders to take up the issue seriously.
The Committee have also sought an appointment with the Deputy CM, Y Patton, Minister for Home and R&B (PWD) on the issue of making the foothill road pliable during the dry season and is expected to be reciprocated at the earliest.
