Dimapur, May 4: An oxygen generation plant, with the capacity to produce 432,000 litres per day, will become functional at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) within 2 days, according to a report by NEPS on Monday.
Recently, the Centre had sanctioned 3 oxygen plants in Nagaland — one each at Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung.
The plant has the capacity to refill 61 jumbo oxygen cylinders in a day, said Nilanjan Chowdhury, a Service Engineer at Absstem Technologies, Kolkata, currently working with a team of engineers to install the oxygen generation plant at NHAK.
According to Chowdhury, the hospital will not face scarcity of oxygen for the patients. (Page News Service)
