NH, UNC irked by delay in finalization of Naga solution

Kohima, August 23: The Naga Hoho and the United Naga Council (UNC) today expressed discontentment over the delay in finalising the Indo-Naga Framework Agreement.
“This joint review meeting reviewed the entire situation in a very serious manner and expressed discontentment for inordinate delay in finalising the historic Indo-Naga framework agreement,” stated a joint declaration made by the Naga Hoho and UNC after a review meeting held at Senapati Village today.
The joint review meeting also urged Naga people to remain united and support the hard earned peaceful Indo-Naga political issue till they achieve their political aspiration and also the Naga people will not compromise their inherent rights under any circumstances.
The declaration jointly signed by Naga Hoho president, Chuba Ozukum and UNC president, Gaidon Kamei cautioned that any Naga elected representative, political leader, political party, unmandated or unauthorised Naga individual or group would not attend or participate in any assembly or meeting that would sabotage the Indo-Naga peace process.
“Anyone defying the Naga political principle and its position shall be treated as anti-national and their entry shall be banned in Naga territory,” the declaration added.
