Dimapur, August 12: The 14 tribal hohos of Nagaland has stated that the representation of the Naga Hoho to the Government of India does not represent the Nagas of Nagaland as there is not even a single tribe of Nagas of Nagaland affiliated to the Naga Hoho.
“Therefore the Naga Hoho does not have the mandate of Nagas of Nagaland,” said a press release issued by the press & media cell of the 14 tribal hohos of Nagaland.
Stating that any matter that involves/ concerns the Nagas of Nagaland should be through the 14 tribes of Nagaland, the release cautioned that the 14 tribes will not be taken into account of any decisions taken on its behalf by any other organization or Naga Hohos other than the 14 Naga tribal hohos of Nagaland in respect of Nagaland.
The release warned that the 14 tribal hohos will unitedly take its course of action against any individual or organization “if unprecedented or threat is meted to the tribal leaders in due regard.”
