KOHIMA, APRIL 22: The Nagaland Gaon Burah Federation (NGBF) has appealed to the Government of India for solution of Naga political issue before the State general elections scheduled for early next year.
Adopting a 2-point resolution during the 30th general session of NGBF, held at Phek on April 20 and 21, the Federation “unanimously resolved to appeal once again to the GoI for Naga political solution before State Assembly election 2023”.
They also resolved that if the situation demanded, the NGBF would take up democratic forms of agitations.
Further, in order to make clarity on some articles and clauses of the NGBF constitution, they felt the need to amend it and resolved to constitute a 5-member committee.
The committee has been endorsed to coordinate with Commissioner, Nagaland, for necessary implementation.
Meanwhile, the general session also decided to retain all incumbent office bearers headed by L Shahlem Konyak as president with induction of some new members.
