Dimapur, February 24: A new Sub-Centre in Yali village under Noksen block Tuensang district, was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Moatemjen on February 22. During the Occasion, CMO stated that the Village health committee and stake holders should take ownership of the Health Centre and also give full support to the health staffs for the smooth functioning of the health centre.
The team also conducted Health Camp, where a total number of 160 OPD were registered, including 51- eye screening and 37- blood smears examined (NVBDCP) were carried out during the camp.
One session of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was also conducted with the eligible couples on maternal health, Child health and Family Planning. A health talks was given by District Media Officer (NHM). There were around fifteen (15) eligible couples who participated in the FGD.
IEC Materials on Immunization, Family planning, JSY/JSSK, Iodine deficiency and Non-communicable disease were also distributed during the camp.
The team also visited Ngounchung Sub-Centre and went for site verification along with the village communities for the construction of PHC building.
The team was led by CMO Dr. Moatemjen, accompanied by 6 Doctors, 1 Pharmacist, DPMU (NHM) staffs, Mobile Health team, School health team and NVBDCD staffs.
