New DC Dimapur hold DDMA meet

Dimapur, October 29: New Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS, who assumed office on Monday evening, held the first meeting with DDMA members on October 29 to take stock of the flood situation in Dimapur and for taking precautionary measures for combating the situation.
In the meeting, Anoop expressing concern over the flood situation in Dimapur, enquired about the challenges faced, to which officials from Home Guards and DDMA cited shortage of equipments, manpower and need for trainings as the areas to be looked into.
Anoop also felt the need for devising a mechanism so that affected people will be able to provide first hand information to the authority concerned during disaster. (Page News Service)
