New Caretaker CAO of Shepoumaramth Region, NSCN/GPRN takes charge


Kohima, June 14: Thanksgiving program of the new incoming Caretaker CAO, Shepoumaramth Region was organised at Khabung Karong on June 12 last. Different dignitaries including the Naga Hoho, United Naga Council (UNC), Naga Women’s Union (NWU), All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga People’s Organization (NPO), Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA), Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), Zeliangrong Union, Senapati Zone, Thangal Union, Poumai Naga Union (PNU), Poumai Naga Women’s Union (PNNM), Poumai Naga Students Union (PNTM), Karong Union and others attended the program.

The Jt. Secretary to the GPRN, N. Elvis Moyon, Secretariat, Kilo Affairs on June 4 last had earlier issued an order to have appointed H. Veio Thomas Prou, Tatar as Caretaker CAO of Shepoumaramth Region. Handing over of files by the incumbent Caretaker, CAO was reportedly done on June 11 last.
While the welcome address was brought by Kh. Danii, Former President, PNU, Samson Rimai, Vice President, Naga Hoho stated on the need to work together for common good. Asha Wungnam, President, NWU while congratutlating the new incoming CAO of the region, she appreciated the organisers of the program adding it was the first day to attend such thanksgiving program and assured to cooperate with the new CAO. Solomon Arow, President, NPO in his speech stressed on the need to build public relation to bring peace and development in the region. The President advised the new CAO to build confidence of the people.

The new CAO of the region, Veio Thomas Prou, Tatar expressed gladness to the gathering while he sought the cooperation of all. While reiterating the important roles of the CSOs in the region, the CAO urged the CSOs to be united and represent the people with respect and integrity. The program was organised under strict observance of SOPs.
