New brand of honey launched in Noklak

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 17: With coordination of CIH (Central Institute of Horticulture) Medziphema, Noklak Agro Revolution Society and Noklak Police, a new brand of Noklak honey was launched on Wednesday during a review meeting of central sector schemes on FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations) chaired by Abhilaksh Likhi, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture.

Noklak honey was represented by SP Noklak. Two months ago, Nokak Police had imparted training on beekeeping to 120 drug-users undergoing OST treatment.
Further, 300 beekeepers in Noklak district are about to form FPO since the production of honey in the district is 5000 to 6000 litre per year. In collaboration with CIH Medziphema, 40 beekeepers from Noklak will be sent for training at Guwahati.
Every village will send 2 to 3 beekeepers, who will become master trainers and teach their respective villagers after coming back. (Page News Service)
