NEISSR observes 5th fresher’s day


Dimapur, August 14: North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research observed its 5th fresher’s day on August 14 with Sushil Kumar Patel, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Dr. Sedevi Angami, Director of CIHSR and Thomas Kikon, Chairman Lotha Hoho Dimapur as the special guests.
DC Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel asked the youth to get connected with people in the villages and communities. He highlighted the positive strength of youths in Nagaland and in the region. He was of the view that the social problems and issues are increasing, and they are common in the region and they must be dealt creatively and scientifically. He encouraged the MSW trainees to build up their positive energy and to find solutions to the social issues professionally.
Dr Sedevi Angami, Director of CIHSR, enlightened the NEISSIRians with his personal testimony and commitment to the work one has to do in the society. He spoke about the importance of inter-disciplinary approach to heal the social diseases. Thomas Kikon, emphasizing the scope of social work in both the Government and non-government sectors, motivated the MSW trainees to work for bettering the humanity.
Dr. Fr. CP Anto, principal, wished the freshers a very happy and academically fulfilling journey ahead and an outstanding stay in NEISSR.
