Neiba Kronu calls on Tribal Affairs Minister


Dimapur, June 18: Nagaland Minister for Planning & Co-ordination and Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu accompanied by Nosazol Charles, Additional Development Commissioner, Chorayi Viyie, Planning Officer and Thomas Thailu, OSD Planning paid a courtesy call on the new Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Arjun Munda on June 19 in his official chamber at Shastri Bhavan, A-Wing, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi.
He congratulated the new Union Minister on his taking over the Minister for Tribal Affairs to look after the Development and Welfare of the Tribals in the country.
While pointing out the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI, is doing the yeomen services to the tribal community of the country, he requested the new Minister, continue to support the downtrodden people especially in the Northeast region to come up at par with the rest of the country.
He also emphasized that the Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in the blocks under the Tribal inhabited areas are doing well, if it is like the case of Nagaland as all three schools have cent percent (100%) passed in the class ten exams in 2019.
Further Neiba Kronu requested the Union Minister to continue and provide such more schools in all the blocks for quality education to the Tribal Students’.
The Union Minister was pleased by the approached and assured of his full support to develop, enhance the capacity of the Tribal people, to bring them at par with the rest of the other communities in the country.
