NEET 2018: NSF, ANCSU reiterates stand


Dimapur, August 20: The Naga Students’ Federation and All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) have reiterated its stands on not allotting seats to non- indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland for undergoing MBBS, BDS and other professional courses under the State quota.
In a press release, NSF & ANCSU revealed that the fathers of three doubtful candidates are enrolled in the electoral voters list of Manipur state 2018, and hence they cannot be considered as indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland State.
The release revealed that father of Merit list NEET SL.No. 61 is found in part 46 of E-roll of Manipur 2018, Oklong Village under Senapati District at serial No. 628; father of Merit list NEET SL. NO. 7 is enrolled in part 8 of E-roll of Manipur 2018 Yangkhunuo Village under Senapati District at Serial No. 304 and father of Merit list NEETSL. NO. 50 is found to be enrolled in part 46 of E-roll of Manipur 2018, Oklong Village under Senapati District at Sl. No 262.
Reiterating its demand, the NSF & ANCSU warned the Directorate of Technical Education not to allot seat for undergoing professional courses under State quota under any circumstances to doubtful candidates, failing which it shall initiate own course of action. It requested the Director of Technical Education to initiate necessary action immediately in order to avoid any further misunderstandings and confrontations.
As the documents (ST & Indigenous Certificates of the above mentioned candidates are not genuine as it has been obtained without proper verification), the NSF & ANCSU also demanded the State Government to initiate disciplinary action against the erring officials immediately for issuing ST& Indigenous certificates to those candidates without proper verification and authentication as per the office Memorandum Vide No. AR-12/3-89 dated Kohima the 4th Oct 1995.
