NEAN pleads for salary

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, JULY 9: The National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEAN) has appealed to the Mission Director for release of the pending salaries.
In a letter to the Mission Director, NHM, the Association stated that they have been attending their duties regardless of untold hardship and “at present we have not received our salary since May 2024”.
It said immense hardship is being faced by the employees in State, district and blocks including the Programme Management and service delivery due to non-receipt of salary on time.
The Association stated that the State has already received the 1st tranche/installment for the financial year 2024-25 on June 13 last. “Considering the timeline mandate by the GOI, funds received must be transferred within 15 days; but still the funds have not been transferred to State Health Society accounts”, it stated.
The NEAN, therefore, requested the Mission Director to look into the matter on priority and address the issue immediately. “Any further delay in this matter may compel us to take further stringent measures”, it added. (Page News Service)
