NDPP congratulates electorates for high percentage of votes

Dimapur, May 30: The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated the people of Nagaland and the electorates for positively participating in the election process of the bye-elections to the Lok Sabha constituency. It said high percentage is a clear indication that the people have faith in democracy and the state continues to contribute towards the strengthening of the country’s democratic principles.
It said the NDPP carried out a responsible, mature and vision oriented campaign, which was aimed at uniting all sections of the people.
It was unfortunate that our adversaries focused more on a divisive agenda on communal and religious lines which was never before witnessed in Nagaland, a statement issued by its Media & Communication Committee stated.
The NDPP also appreciated the Election Commission of India and the State Election Department along with all the government machineries for conducting the elections in a successful and exemplary manner. It also appreciated the Church organizations, tribal hohos, civil societies and NGOs for extending all possible support and for the positive contributions.
It further extended appreciation to the coalition partners of the PDA for the support, solidarity and cooperation.
Irrespective of the outcome of the elections, the NDPP extended its appreciation to all the sections of the people for a peaceful elections, which was mostly incident free and people could come out and participate in the election process under an environment of peace and tranquility.
