NDPP completes 3 years

Dimapur, May 16: The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of its third foundation day.
“We are grateful to God almighty for having blessed us to run the Government for the last two years and express our gratitude to the people for having reposed their faith in the NDPP led Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDA) Government of Nagaland,” said NDPP president Chingwang Konyak in a message.
“In the short time since the establishment of the party, much has been achieved but much more is still yet to be done which needs the active participation of all party members and the support and prayers of the people.”
Stating that the success of any political party is dependent on the active participation of its members, Konyak extended gratitude to all rank and file of the NDPP, from the grassroots to the central headquarters, who till today have been tirelessly working for the success of the party, sacrificing their time and efforts in promoting the party ideologies and programs. He also remembered those founding members who have passed away. “Their contributions and sacrifices are what made the party come into existence. They may be gone, but they shall never be forgotten,” he said.
Konyak also expressed gratitude to NDPP alliance partners, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the independent member who have helped establish the PDA Government in Nagaland, and expressed confidence that the alliance will grow stronger with time and that with their unwavering support the PDA will continue to work for the people of Nagaland for many more years. He also puts on record appreciation to all the political parties, particularly the principal opposition party, the Naga Peoples Front, for playing the role of a responsible opposition and their support to the Government in times of crisis especially during this global pandemic of COVID-19.
“As we step into our fourth year, I call upon all party rank and file to once again rededicate ourselves in serving the party and striving to take the party to greater heights. It is also our sincere appeal to the people of the State to continue in giving us their support and good will while building a better Nagaland together,” he appealed. (Page News Service)
