Dimapur, October 9: Members of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C held their annual general meeting-cum-picnic with sitting MLA Zhaleo Rio at TL Angami Park on October 8.
A press release informed that number of issues related to the constituency was discussed during the function.
It stated that Zhaleo reiterated his commitment to bring about all-round development of the constituency and expressed regret that the constituency had to “sacrifice its justified demand” for Cabinet berth even in the present government.
He was, however, optimistic that the UDA as well as NDPP will bring about more positive changes in the coming years. He further requested NDPP Central leaders to strategise and set priorities for the constituency, as also Dimapur region.
In all, around 500 party workers and officials from the constituency participated in the general meeting.
