NCD opposes shifting of DC Dimapur office

Dimapur, September 11: The Naga Council Dimapur has once again opposed the shifting of DC Office from Dimapur to Chumukedima stating that the present office is strategically located, which is felt convenient by all the general public.
Reiterating its earlier stand on the shifting of DC Officer in its executive meeting held yesterday, the Naga Council said the move to shift the public office would cause various negative impacts to the lives of citizens of Dimapur.
The NCD also objected to the nomenclature being used which is read as “DC Chumoukedima Camp Dimapur” instead of DC office Dimapur.
Meanwhile, the NCD has expressed surprise that a contractor has locked the PWD building due to non-clearance of pending bill by the Government and there are indications that the PWD land and building would be auctioned off to public.
The NCD urged the department clears the pending bills at the earliest and secure the department land and building as per Chief Secretary Order published on September 10 and immediately cancel all illegal government departmental land encroachers patta. (Page News Service)
