NCC training camp underway at Kohima

Dmapur, February 2: The 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC, Kohima is conducting NCC Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-113) of 10 days duration at IG Stadium, Kohima from February 1 to 10. 462 NCC cadets from different colleges and schools from all over the State are taking part in the camp. Six associated NCC officer from various schools and colleges are also attending the camp.
In the opening address of the camp, Brig K Venugopal, NCC group commander, Kohima laid down the aim of the camp, its importance in terms of collective training, inculcating team spirit, discipline and self dependence. He encouraged the cadets to make the best use of the opportunities which will be given during the camp.
The camp programme include map reading, firing, drill, FC/BC, disaster management, fire service, leadership capsule, guarding against social media and personality development. The cadets will also be given special lectures by renowned personalities from different fields.
