NCC cadets trained on fire fighting drills


Dimapur, July 25: Around 400 NCC cadets were trained Tuesday by the Fire Brigade, Dimapur on fire fighting drills during the ongoing annual training camp of 24 Nagaland (Indep) Company NCC under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Kohima at Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
Lt Col Vivek Shukla, camp commandant, informed that the cadets were acquainted with causes of fire and its prevention. The cadets were also given hands on experience on handling fire fighting equipment brought by the fire brigade. The fire brigade demonstrated on various drills during the awareness session.
The cadets were amused to see the equipment in action and volunteered in large numbers to handle all by themselves. The demonstration by fire brigade was the culmination of training on disaster management which was going on for last two days.
