Dimapur, May 24: Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj Dimapur has expressed gratitude to the Government of Nagaland, Dimapur Police and Administrative authorities for their yeoman service and immense help in sending 1600 stranded Bihari workers who had gathered at Dimapur from different parts of the state.
The NBS appreciated that the Government walked extra miles to provide the workers with food and water, screening all of them, providing them with their journey tickets and finally putting them on board with food packets and water bottles for their onward journey.
It also thanked all other organizations, which in any manner have lent a helping hand in this great human crisis.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj said it is disturbed by the unruly behaviour of the intruders who force-entered the train at Danapur Railway Station in Bihar, that was coming from Gurugram in Haryana to Dimapur carrying students from Nagaland.
The NBS condemned the rowdyism of the unruly passengers, who were forced to vacate but caused a lot of mental and physical harassment to the travellers.
The NBS requested the Government of Bihar and the Railway authorities to sternly deal with such elements and ensure the safety of Northeast passengers.
It also thanked Robin Hibu, IPS who has been at the forefront of helping the needy and distressed people from the Northeast. He could speak to Bihar ADG and UP, ADGP to take care of the passengers travelling to the NE.
The NBS also prayed that all the passengers reach their respective destinations safe and sound. (Page News Service)
