National workshop for college principals held

Dimapur, December 5: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) through the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) organised five days national workshop from November 28 to December 2 for college principals at NIEPA, New Delhi.
It was attended by principals of Government college, affiliated college, autonomous college, constituent college of various states of India.
From Nagaland Dr. RK Behera, Principal Livingstone Foundation International College and Dr.I Wati Imchen, Principal Fazl Ali College attended this workshop.
The objective of this workshop was to facilitate systematic review of the higher education system in the context of changing requirements, to discuss the issues and challenges and strategies for visionary leadership, governance and management of institutions, and to discuss strategies for overcoming the challenges of college management. This workshop was conducted by the department of Higher and professional education, NEIPA.
The resource persons were Prof. GD Sharma (former secretary, UGC), Prof. K Ratnabali (University of Delhi), Prof. Suneet Tuli (Director of research and faculty affairs Shiv Nadar University), Prof.Vijita Singh Agarwal (Director of International affairs, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University), Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi (Vice chancellor Bangaluru City University), Prof. Kavita Singh (University of Delhi), Prof. Sumen Chattapadhyay (JNU), Sumit Dutta (Psychologist, (Kolkata), Prof. Sudhanshu Bhusan(NIEPA), Prof. Aarati Srivastava NIEPA), Prof. .Neeru Snehi NIEPA), Prof. Sangeeta Angom (NIEPA)and Prof. K Srinivas ( NIEPA).
The centre of the workshop was reform initiative in Higher education in the context of NEP 2020.
