
NSF reiterates non-cooperation with Indian armed forces
KOHIMA, DECEMBER 4: Marking a year of the Oting Massacre, every household in the Eastern Nagaland is hoisting black flag while the NSF and its federating units observed special prayer service across the State and also in Manipur.
Every household in Eastern Nagaland hoisted black flag while its parent body Konyak Union will hold a prayer service on Monday in Mon town.
Marking the occasion, musical bands and artists of Konyak tribe have released a tribute music video titled Dil ho sada with special appearance by former Indian Idol Prashant Tamang.
Meanwhile, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today held a solemn ceremony to pay homage to the lives of those who were brutally massacred by the Indian armed forces at Oting.
The occasion was held in the NSF Conference Hall at Naga Club Building in the State capital and attended by its representatives from All Nagaland College Students’ Union, All Sumi Students’ Union’ (SKK) and Ao Students’ Conference (AKM).
In his brief address on the occasion, NSF President Kegwayhun Tep reaffirmed the non-cooperation extended by the Federation towards the Indian Armed Forces/para military forces across the Naga homeland.
He also extended solidarity to the family members of the victims while also lamenting that justice is yet to be served.
NSF general secretary Siipuni Ng. Philo said the flag of the Federation will be flying at half mast for two days ~ Sunday and Monday ~ in honour of the innocent lives cruelly taken away by the adversaries.
He asserted that the Federation along with its federating units and subordinate bodies shall continue to work towards ensuring that the draconian AFSPA is repealed from the entire Naga homeland.
He added that Naga people shall overcome despite the vicious policies of our adversaries.
Further, NSF federating units across Nagaland and Manipur States observed prayer services in the respective jurisdiction.
