Nagaland’s tally rises to 845 with 71 new COVID-19 cases

Dimapur, July 13: In a major spike in number of COVID-19 positive cases, Nagaland on Monday reported 71 new cases taking the total cases in the State to 845. But with 340 recoveries, the number of active cases in the State remains 505.
The recovery rate of Nagaland is at 40.23%.
Out of the 71 new cases, 60 are from Dimapur, 7 from Mon and 4 from Kohima.
All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
As per the severity of symptoms, 490 active cases are asymptomatic and 15 active cases are mild.
The district wise confirmed cases are: Dimapur – 318, Peren – 216, Kohima – 158, Mon – 83, Tuensang – 44, Phek – 17, Zunheboto – 4, Mokokchung – 4 and Wokha – 1.
Among the 505 active cases Peren has – 134, Dimapur – 159, Kohima – 87, Mon – 83, Tuensang – 28, Phek – 8, Mokokchung – 4, Zunheboto and Wokha one each. The 340 recovered persons are 160 from Dimapur, Peren – 81, Kohima – 71, Tuensang – 16, Phek – 9 and Zunheboto – 3. (Page News Service)
