Nagaland to observe World TB Day

DIMAPUR, MARCH 23: National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) Nagaland will observe World TB Day across the districts and also at the State-level on March 24.
A press release from State TB officer informed that activities such as awareness on TB at schools, colleges, villages, prisons and also orientation meetings with religious leaders, NGOs etc will be conducted.
On December 1, Nagaland will be completing 20 years since NTEP was launched. So far 57815 patients have been put on treatment. There are 52 microscopy centres including 11 district TB centres, 10 CBNAAT machines and 2 drug resistance TB centres where free investigation and treatment are provided to all, including for MDR TB (Multi Drug Resistant).
