Nagaland to celebrate Constitution day

Kohima, November 24: The Government of Nagaland is going to celebrate the Constitutional Day on November 26 at the Capital Convention Centre at 10:30 a.m. to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the founding fathers of the Constitution of India as well as launching of year-long State-wide campaign on Constitution and Fundamental Duties.
The year 2019 marks the 70th year of the adoption of the Constitution and the Government of India has directed all the States Government to run awareness campaign starting from 26th November 2019 to 26th November 2020 with special emphasis on citizens’ duties including Fundamental Duties as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The campaign is to start with functions and events on 26th November 2019 to be carried out throughout the year by the stake holders Department.
The event will be graced by, Minister for Justice & Law, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Nagaland, CM Chang as Special Guest. Senior Additional Advocate General Nagaland, Kakheto Sema will deliver speech on the Constitution. Keynote Address will be given by Temjen Toy, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and the welcome address will be delivered by Secretary, Justice & Law Department Khanrinla T. Koza. The National Anthem will be sung by Kohima College, Kohima. (Page News Service)
