“For the last 15 years Nagaland instead of going forward is going backward,” he said while expressing that “there are few leaving on the island of prosperity amidst the ocean of poverty”.

Transportation has become so expensive with the cost of petrol and diesel skyrocketing, he said.
Earlier during Congress regime, he recalled that “we had given transport allowance and special package for industrial growth”.
“Modi gave lots of promises but has withdrawn the package of incentives… he has withdrawn the transport subsidy, special category status have been withdrawn, while 80-90% of grants which has also been done away with and after the closer of planning commission the facilities of small states have also be removed,” he said.
He added that there is no hope for development and progress of NE region under the NDA at the centre for and the PDA in the State.
Naga issue
AICC secretary i/c Nagaland, Pradyut Bordoloi said that BJP government at the Centre is not serious about resolving the Naga political issue and it will not bring about any solution before the 2019 parliamentary elections.
Reacting on the BJP general secretary Ram Madav’s recent statement that “Naga political dialogue is at an advance stage”, he said, “we hope that some solution comes out but this their habit and they will only continue to give the hope… and I am sure that they will give any solution before 2019 parliamentary elections”.
He also said that Congress during its 10 years of reign at the Centre did try to work out a solution so were the talks held with all sincerity despite the then interlocutors facing painstaking consultations with all stakeholders.
“We went out of power without bringing to logical conclusion and that’s why we were cooperating with the BJP government to see the logical conclusion, but today 2019 lok sabha elections are coming and we realize that they are not sincere and would not give any solution,” he said.
Responding to queries on bringing back former Chief Minister and Governor, S C Jamir as NPCC PAC member, NPCC president K Therie clarified that it was done on the recommendation of the Mokokchung DCC following the two leaders from the district I Imkong and Ayangba Aonok kept on suspension.
