State records 31.41% recovery rate; total recovered cases – 49
Dimapur, June 12: With Nagaland reporting 17 fresh COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday night and another 9 cases on Saturday morning, the total confirmed cases in the State crossed the 150 mark – 19 days after the first three cases were reported on May 25. The total confirmed cases in the State stands at 156 on Friday.
But with 19 more recovery cases reported, taking the total to 49 recovered, the number of active cases in the State as on Friday is 107. The State’s recovery rate is 31.41%, which is lower than the national recovery rate of 49.47%.
All the active cases in the State are asymptomatic and are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals, said an official bulletin.
Of the total recovery, 36 have recovered from Dimapur District Hospital; 2 from NHAK Kohima; 6 from Chedema/Kohima; and 5 from Tuensang District Hospital.
The COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland is currently restricted to only 3 districts, with Dimapur having the bulk of the cases at 85 (Dimapur District Hospital – 81 cases; AR Hospital Dimapur – 4); Kohima – 20 (NHAK – 13; Chedema – 7) and Peren – 2 (CHC Jalukie – 2).
