Nagaland reports 17 fresh COVID-19 cases, tally rises to 347


Dimapur, June 24: A total of 17 new Covid 19 cases were detected today in Nagaland, taking the total number of positives cases to 347. Out of this, the total active cases are 199 and 148 have recovered.
According to Principal Secretary Home, all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 199 active cases are asymptomatic.
As per the distribution of the347 cases by age, there are 4 cases between 0-17 years,330 cases between 18-44 years, 11 cases between 45-64 years and 2 cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 242 males and105 females.
Till date, a total of 10, 322 samples have been tested. Results of 8,914 samples have been received. Out of the 10,322 samples, 7,156 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), till today, and a total of 5,936 samples have been tested- out of which 288 samples have tested positive.
A total of 3,348 samples have been tested by Truenat also, out of which,31 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. 2,799 samples have tested negative and the results of 518 samples are awaited.
A total of 5,995 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine. (Page News Service)
