Nagaland NCC Cadet clears SSB, joins OTA, Chennai

Dimapur, October 16: Cadet J Jackson, of 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC cleared his Services Selection Board (SSB) & got selected for Officers Training Academy, Chennai through C Certificate special entry scheme, adding another proud moment for NCC Group Head Quarters, Kohima.
The NCC Cadet joined Officers Training Academy, Chennai for pre commission training. On successful completion of training at OTA Chennai the Gentleman cadet will be commissioned to Indian Army as Commissioned Officer.
NCC cadets of Nagaland are undergoing training at various locations across Nagaland. The aim of NCC is to develop qualities of character, courage, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideal of selfless service among the youth to make them useful and patriotic citizens of India.
The NCC activities of ten thousand cadets in the state are being coordinated by NCC Group Headquarters, Kohima and the Department of Youth Resources & Sports of the Govt of Nagaland.
