Nagaland impose total ban on movement from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m.

DIMAPUR, JNE 17: After extending the ongoing total lockdown in Nagaland till June 30, the State Government today notified that there shall be total ban on movement of individuals/vehicles from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m. everyday across the State except for reasons/purposes and for those who are permitted to move as per the existing lockdown measures.


The High Powered Committee on COVID-19 has extended the total lockdown after observing that the positivity rate of COVID-19 in the State continues to remain high, above 5% in all districts, warranting the need to take adequate measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Chief Secretary J Alam, in a notification issued today, directed that the existing lockdown measures shall continue to remain in force from June 19 to 30 with the additional provisions of total ban on movement of individuals/vehicles from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day.
The CS also entrusted the District Task Forces, based on local conditions, to take additional stricter measures in their respective districts/areas, if in its opinion such measures are urgently required to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Kohima: Meanwhile DC Kohima has notified that there shall be total ban on movement of individuals/vehicles from 2 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day from June 19 to 30 across Kohima district except for reasons/purposes and for those who are permitted to move as per the existing lockdown measures.
In an order, the DC informed that permitted category of shops shall open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
