Nagaland has many Judas Iscariots: NPCC

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today termed the 10-point commitment made by the Nagaland Baptist Church Committee (NBCC) during its Sesquicentennial celebration as a call to politicians and Government employees to change.

“It is with deep concern. All they want is politicians and Government employees to change. There is no point that can be ignored. It is also a call to all sections of the people of Nagaland”, said NPCC president K Therie in a press release.

The NPCC reminded that Nagaland is known as a Christian State by even BJP and RSS, but lamented that Nagaland has many Judas Iscariots.

“The Church wants us to stand true to apostolic faith deep rooted in the Bible and strong in the foundational doctrinal affirmations. To actively participate in the task of caring for God’s creations, taking our duty and privileges as custodians of the earth seriously and working towards retaining the original state of goodness is of utmost importance”, he said.

Therie also termed the NBCC’s 10-point commitment as a call for all to work for greater unity and better understanding amongst various groups of people through cessation of selfish pursuits and conflicts that divide and damage the historical harmony of Nagas.

“This call is a reflection of the present disorderly situation that shames our Christian State”, he added.
