Dimapur, November 16: A total of 1213409 voters have been enrolled in Nagaland as per the draft electoral roll published today. There are 1205655 general electors while 7754 are service electors.
According to a press release issued by Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS, the draft publication of electoral rolls in connection with Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls w.r.t 01.01.2021 as the qualifying date has been done by the Electoral Registration Officers in all the 60 Assembly Constituencies in Nagaland on November 16.
As per the draft roll published, there are a total of 612429 male electors and 600980 female electors.
The CEO said if with the reference of the qualifying date, there is any claim for inclusion of name in the Electoral Roll or any objection to inclusion of name, or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before December 15.
Every such claim or objection should either be presented to the Electoral Registration Officer or to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) or sent by post to the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer. One may also visit www.nvsp.in or download voter helpline app from Google Play store for online registration and for submitting objections.
Meanwhilem Special Campaign dates for Special Summary Revision 2021 have also been fixed on November 20 and 21, December 4 and 5. On these days, the respective BLOs would be present in the polling stations with the Electoral Rolls and the various forms to facilitate any eligible citizens who wants to enroll or correct his/her particulars or delete his/her name or submit objections to the inclusion of any name.
