
KOHIMA, MARCH 20: Nagaland Government will introduce two important bills on the second day of the ongoing session of the State Assembly on Monday.
The bills are ~ The Nagaland Village and Tribal Councils (Fifth Amendment) Bill and The Nagaland Groundwater (Regulation & Control of Development and Management) Bill.
The session on Monday will commence with Question Hour, where legislators of the opposition-less Government ~ United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ~ have put up at least four queries concerning the welfare of the people.
Other business for the day include laying of administrative reports of various Government Departments, presentation of Assembly Committee reports and discussion on the motion of thanks to the address of the Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi.
Mention may be made here that this is the 11th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly constituted in March 2018.
It is also the last budget session of the incumbent Government as the State will go to polls by February next year.
The current week-long session commenced with the customary address of the Governor on Saturday and will culminate on March 25.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will present the Budget 2022-23 on March 22.
