
Dimapur, April 22: The Government of Nagaland on Thursday brought down the rates of COVID-19 RT-PCR tests and True-Nat tests to Rs 800 from the existing Rs 1500 in Government facilities/hospitals providing. The charges for rapid antigen tests were also brought down.
As per the revised rates, the rapid antigen test will now cost Rs 250 from the present Rs 500.
However, for private laboratories/ hospitals, the principal director of State health & family welfare has been asked to hold consultation considering the decreased costs of kits and consumables, and keeping in mind the prevailing rates in other states. After the consultation, the PD will notify the revised rates for private labs/hospitals.
An official release informed that the following category of persons shall be exempted from the charges in Government facilities/hospitals: BPL card holders, elders above 60 years & children below 10 years and those who are contact traced.
