KOHIMA, JANUARY 16: Detection of 15 fresh infections on Saturday pushed Nagaland’s tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 12,054, a health official said.
“15 positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected today. Kohima-11, Mokokchung-3, Dimapur-1. Also 2 positive patients have recovered. Mokokchung-1, Longleng-1 each,” said Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Of the total cases, 11,709 have recuperated while 117 are active, said Phom.
The death toll in the State is 88, out of which 78 are due to contagion and 10 had comorbidities, said Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing in the daily COVID-19 bulletin. Another 140 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
The recovery rate in the state is 97.13 percent, he said.
The district-wise distribution of confirmed cases are Dimapur (6,452), Kohima (3,772), Mon (605), Peren (504), Tuensang (244), Mokokchung (189), Zunheboto (142), Phek (47), Kiphire (41), Wokha (39) and Longleng (19).
Out of the confirmed cases, 4,968 are traced contacts, 4,660 armed forces personnel, 1,854 returnees from other States and 572 frontline workers, he said.
The district-wise active cases are Dimapur (48), Kohima (57), Mokokchung (9), Peren (2) and Mon (1).
Among the active cases, 11 patients are with mild and moderate symptoms, two severe cases are on oxygen and two critical cases are in ICU, he said. Altogether 102 persons are asymptomatic, he said.
The recovered persons are Dimapur (6,271), Kohima (3,658), Mon (593), Peren (499), Tuensang (243), Mokokchung (171), Zunheboto (139), Phek (50), Kiphire (40), Wokha (35) and Longleng (10).
A total of 1,22,899 suspected COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland so far, including 72,829 on RT-PCR, 36,937 on TrueNat and 13,133 on Rapid Antigen Test, Hangsing said.
