Dimapur, November 2: Nagaland on Monday reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to 9096. But with 7606 recoveries and 36 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1363.
Out of the 21 new cases, 12 were detected in Kohima, 8 in Dimapur and 1 in Mokokchung, informed the daily COVID-19 briefing issued by State principal home secretary.
The briefing also showed the death toll at 36, and increase of 3 deaths from Sunday’s total.
As per the severity of symptoms 1296 active cases are asymptomatic, 42 active cases are mild, 12 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 6 active cases are severe on oxygen, 6 active cases are critical with oxygen and 1 active case is on ventilator.
Out of 9096 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/ Police – 3950, Traced Contacts – 3043, Returnees – 1658 and Frontline Workers – 445. (Page News Service)
