Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 8296


Dimapur, October 22: Nagaland on Thursday reported 157 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to 8296. But with 6399 recoveries and 28 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1798.
Of the 157 new cases, 119 were detected in Dimapur, 30 in Kohima, 3 in Peren, 2 each in Mokokchung & Kiphire and one in Mon. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,716 active cases are asymptomatic, 60 active cases are mild, 15 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 4 active cases are severe on oxygen and 3 active cases are on ventilator.
Further, out of 8296 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 3699, Traced Contacts – 2575, Returnees – 1625 and Frontline Workers – 397.
