Dimapur, July 8: Nagaland on Wednesday reported 13 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to 657. But with 304 recoveries, the active cases in the State are 353.
Principal Home Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS said all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 care centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
Out of the 353 active cases, 350 are asymptomatic, 2 mild and one case is moderate.
A total of 3,483 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State.
Spl train from Bengaluru to reach today
Meanwhile Sinha informed that a special train which left Bengaluru on July 6 carrying about 330 stranded persons of Nagaland will reach Dimapur on Thursday morning. (Page News Service)
