Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 3950

Dimapur, August 31: Nagaland on Monday reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total cases in the State to 3950. But with 3058 recoveries and 8 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 874.
Out of the 28 new cases, 14 were detected in Dimapur (Armed Forces – 12, Returnees/travelers – 2), 10 in Kiphire (Armed Forces – 7, Returnees/travelers – 3) and 4 in Kohima (Traced Contacts – 4).
As per the severity of symptoms, 862 active cases are asymptomatic and 12 are symptomatic cases. Active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
Out of the 3950 cases, 1692 cases (43%) are from the Armed Forces, Returnees/travelers – 1260 (32%), Traced Contacts – 715 (17%) and Frontline workers – 283 (7%). (Page News Service)
