Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 3805


Dimapur, August 28: Nagaland on Friday reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total cases in the State to 3,805. But with 2858 recoveries and 9 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 929.
Out of the 21 new cases, 10 were detected at Kohima (Traced Contacts – 9, Frontline Workers – 1), 7 in Dimapur (Traced Contacts – 5, Frontline workers (2), 2 in Zunheboto (Returnees – 1, Frontline workers – 1) and one each in Wokha (Armed Forces – 1) and Mon (Returnees – 1).
As per the severity of symptoms, 921 active cases are asymptomatic, 7 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate.
Further, out of the 3,805 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,623 cases from Armed Forces, 1,224 cases are returnees, 264 cases of frontline workers and 694 cases of traced contacts.
The total number of samples tested through RT-PCR whose results have been received till today are 35, 631. On Truenat the number of results received are 22,559, and through Rapid Antigen Test results of 656 samples have been received.
A total of 1,183 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State. (Page News Service)
