Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 3752


Dimapur, August 25: Nagaland on Tuesday reported 38 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to 3752. But with 2611 recoveries and 9 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1123.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,107 active cases are asymptomatic, 15 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate. Active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
Out of the 3,752 positive cases so far, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,617 cases from Armed Forces, 1,217 cases from returnees, 258 cases of frontline workers and 660 cases of traced contacts.
A total of 35,459 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 34,629 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 22,340 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.
A total of 1,113 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State.
