Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 1084


Dimapur, July 22: Nagaland reported 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday taking the total positive cases in the State to 1084, but with 486 recoveries, the total active cases in the State are 598.
Out of the 54 new cases, 23 are in Dimapur, 19 in Kohima, 7 in Zunheboto, 1 in Peren, 2 in Mokokchung and 2 in Mon.
Four persons who had earlier tested COVID-19 positive in Peren District against were found positive in their re-test result received on Tuesday, said State health officials.
All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 care centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
As per the severity of symptoms, 594 active cases are asymptomatic and 2 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate.
A total of 2,833 persons are presently under facility quarantine in the State. (Page News Service)
