Dimapur, October 30: Nagaland on Friday reported 51 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to 8945. But with 7229 recoveries and 33 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1596.
Of the 51 new cases, 32 were detected in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, 2 in Mokokchung and 1 in Tuensang.
As per the severity of symptoms 1518 active cases are asymptomatic, 57 active cases are mild, 16 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 3 active case is severe on oxygen and 2 active cases are on ventilator.
Further, out of 8,945 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 3878, Traced Contacts – 2978, Returnees – 1653 and Frontline Workers – 436.
