Nagaland COVID-19 tally nears 4000 mark


Dimapur, August 30: Nagaland on Sunday reported 71 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total cases in the State to 3922. But with 3017 recoveries and 9 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 887.
Out of the 71 new cases, 49 were detected in Kohima, 13 in Tuensang, 5 in Mokokchung, and 2 each in Dimapur and in Zunheboto.
As per the severity of symptoms, 874 active cases are asymptomatic, 11 are mild and 2 are moderate. Active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
As on Sunday, 1133 persons are in facility quarantine and 3396 in home quarantine. The number of positive cases in home quarantine is 64. (Page News Service)
