Nagaland COVID-19 tally jumps to 6318


Dimapur, October 2: Nagaland on Friday reported 74 new cases of COVID-19 taking the State’s tally to at 6318. But with 5161 recoveries and 17 deaths, the number of active cases in the State is 1085.
Of the 74 new cases, 28 each were detected in Dimapur and Tuensang, 14 in Kohima and 4 in Mokokchung.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1048 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases are mild and 3 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of 6,318 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people is: Armed Forces/Police – 3025, Returnees – 1505, Traced Contacts – 1442 and Frontline Workers – 346.
A total of 51,550 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 50,758 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,527 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 28,476 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test1, 875 samples have been tested.
